Now this is a fired up crowd! Thank you. Thank you and I welcome you to Worcester. This is POLITO Country.

My name is Karyn Polito. I want to thank all of you for traveling here today. This is an exciting movement that’s underway. Republicans are actively engaged everywhere as the energy and momentum of January 19th continues.

But this strong and powerful movement isn’t entirely new. We are witnessing the next generation of Republican leaders rising. I want to thank the two young, active, locally elected Republican officials who have stepped forward to nominate me as our party’s choice for state treasurer.

STATEMENT OF KARYN POLITO RELATIVE TO SENDING THE HOUSE GAMING BILL BACK TO THE COMMITTEE ON WAYS AND MEANS

“I'm disappointed the House did not agree with my motion to send the gaming bill back to the Ways and Means Committee for consideration of a competitive bidding process for gaming licenses. As it is now, the legislation smacks of an inside deal for the racetrack owners. I think we can make it a better bill by including provisions that encourage innovation and competition, with the ultimate goal of maximizing jobs and revenue for Massachusetts residents.”
